I’m not sure about you, but I am so done with the cold. Like really done. I honestly thought for a while there that I was never going to be warm again, but the weather here is finally warming up!
This entire week has been in the 70s and so it’s put me in the mindset of sharing transition pieces for your wardrobe and how to style spring pieces when the weather ins’t quite warm enough yet.
For those so you who are still in the throws of winter storms, I am so sorry to waft this post in front of your face. I really hope it’s gets warmer for you soon! But for those of you who are living in the south ( hello Savannah ), this post will be right up your ally.
1. Wear a light jacket with a spring dress.
Ok, this one is probably a no-brainer for most of you, but seriously, I was so ready to wear my pretty dresses again and go bare legged ( which in the end was a terrible idea ), I pulled my handy cargo jacket out of the closet and ran with it. You could also use a blazer as layering piece or even a vest.
2. Pair your spring attire with a pair of booties.
I have this pair of grey booties I bought past fall and they literally sold out and were not restocked, but a light colored bootie is perfect to pair with your spring wear, especially if you need to keep your feet warm.
3. Pair something bright and lightweight with a dark winter piece.
This way, you are getting double seasonal wear out of your clothes! Sometimes, you just can’t retire that black pair of pants yet, but pull out that coral top you love that’s sleeveless and throw a sweater over it and you are rocking the spring wear!
These are a just a few tips for how to transition your wardrobe from winter to spring. You can also layer a long sleeved top under your favorite sleeveless dress, or put on some leggings with a tunic spring top. The possibilities are endless! Leave a comment below about what you are styling for spring and if you have any tips, please share them!
