Happy Tuesday night! We’re almost officially halfway through the week and honestly, I have some fun things planned for this weekend, so it really can’t come fast enough.
For the longest time, I have been slightly nervous about styling a graphic top, simply because I didn’t think I could pull it off. However, with a lot of Pinterest searching and blog reading, I finally realized that graphic tops aren’t that scary, you just have to have the confidence to step out and wear them.
So, when I got this graphic sweater as a hand-me-down from my sister ( who is actually younger than me, so a hand-me-up? ), I fell in love with it and started to think of ways to style it. And there were so many, they were paralyzing me! It took me forever to put this look together, but it combined some of my favorite pieces, so I knew it would work.
And there is the secret to styling something that is a little bit out of your comfort zone; whatever the item is, pair it with other things that you love to wear and make you feel confident and you can pull off any style out there.
Take my outfit for example; I love both midi skirts and Converse, so it seemed kind of a no-brainer to style the graphic sweater with those. However, I could have worn jeans and a cargo jacket and felt the same way. It’s all about finding that perfect combo of comfort zone and new experience.
What about you? How do you like to style things that are a little out of your comfort zone? And have you tried styling a graphic sweater yet?
